Booths To Visit at The Southern Women’s Show

There are more than 300 exhibitors and boutiques at the show. Here are a few to look for.

Po River Apiary

This Spotsylvania-based business specializes in gourmet honey-based foods and beauty products. The Southern Women’s Show sent me a jar of Lavender Flower Infused Honey, which is delicious drizzled on goat cheese or used in cocktails. Simply shake with vodka and add to prosecco for a distinctive brunch drink. At the show, I’m hoping to sample the company’s famous sweet and spicy Honey Habanero Sauce and also to check out some of the natural balms and bath salts. There’s even a honey-based mustache wax if you feel like you need to snag something for your guy.

Organic Hemp Botanicals

These organic bath and body products are made with the highest quality oil available. I was particularly impressed with the Love Bath Bomb I received. The bath bombs are infused with essential oils so you can moisturize your skin while you soak. The Love bomb has rose petals in it along with rose essential oil. Apparently rose oil can improve acne, balance hormones, relieve anxiety, improve depression, reduce rosacea and naturally increase libido. Who knew?

Fab Brows

Any friend who has ever asked me for makeup tips knows I always emphatically encourage eyebrow definition for making eyes stand out. And, I think it’s even more important when you’re having your picture taken. Fab Brows sent me the Duo Eyebrow Kit, which comes with two shades. You are meant to put the lighter shade toward the front of the brow with the darker shade near the middle and end where brows naturally grow thinner and need more definition. The powder is extremely easy to apply with the enclosed brush, is waterproof, and stays put all day. It’s definitely worth trying at the show!

JJ King’s Secret Sauces

These award-winning barbecue sauces are hand-crafted in Colonial Heights using 50-year-old recipes. Choose from Original and Hot apple-cider vinegar sauces. They taste great on your favorite meat, seafood or vegetables and can even be used in Bloody Marys.

Roux Tween Time Instant Root Concealer

Sometimes we all slack between hair appointments. Roux Tween Time Instant Root Concealer applies like lipstick, so you just brush it over dark roots or gray hair. Perfect! Choose from five different shades.

Claire’s Cooking Lab

The youngest winner of Chopped Jr., Claire Hollingsworth, will be at the show with her line of products that combine her passion for cooking and science. I just saw Mise En Place singing the praises of her patent-pending No Fear Oven Sleeves, so I certainly plan to check them out.

Bungalow Decor

This Regency Mall-based shop will be showcasing indoor and outdoor home accents, including flags, mailbox covers, door hangers, door mats, and officially licensed sports decor.

Room Escape USA

Richmond’s only European-inspired escape room will be there showing you why this is the perfect choice for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, team-building, or just a fun night out with friends.

Color Street Nail Art

Who needs a manicure when you can apply real nail polish strips right to your nails? Stop by the Color Street booth at the Southern Women’s Show to see how the strips work and shop a variety of patterns and colors.

Clothes Mentor Short Pump/Virginia Center

This upscale resale boutique will be set up for shopping at the Southern Women’s show. Shop name-brand and designer clothing, shoes, and accessories for up to 70% off the original price.

Food Lion

Join Food Lion’s Chefs at the Food Lion Kitchen Stage as they prepare recipes using the freshest ingredients and products from the Food Lion Family of Brands.  During the Food Lion Face Off Challenge watch teams put their Food Lion knowledge to the test in head-to-head trivia. Contestants will be selected from the audience and the winner will take home a $25 Food Lion Gift Card. New this year is the Shop and Earn prize vault. Audience members will be selected randomly throughout the weekend to jump in and catch Shop and Earn rewards that will be loaded to their rewards balance on foodlion.com.

Fred Astaire Richmond

Opening in Spring 2018, the Fred Astaire Dance Studio uses a special method for private and group ballroom dance lessons taking inspiration from America’s favorite dancer. Check out the website now to learn more about the studio and see opening specials. The Fred Astaire booth will feature professional dancers throughout the Southern Women’s Show and there will be a live demonstration on stage March 18 at 3 p.m.

  10. Hi Megan,
I just wanted to start this out by telling you that your blog post is great. I’m currently in school for marketing and event planning so I have been checking out blogs of all sorts. From the event planning student’s point of view the thing that I’m looking forward to the most is the fact that I get to see how it is all set up. I’m excited about that. From a women’s point of view I’m excited about Organic Hemp Botanicals being there. Not only do they have bath bombs (which I’m addicted to) they will also be bringing with them some of their gummies. The gummies seem to be the only thing that can help me with my anxiety and my PTSD. Sorry I rambled on. Have a great day!

  11. I am looking forward to the whole show and itself for we will be traveling from the Hampton Roads area. I am so excited that I ran across this and there’s this show going on.

  12. I’ve got to say that I have never been to this show! Years ago I was hired to assist with a cooking demonstration on stage. BUT – I broke my ankle only a few days before the event. Needless to say, I was VERY disappointed. I would love to go this year. Now I am retired and would love to treat a special friend to a day of fun. I NEED a bunch of STUFF all in one place! Love your blofg- just discovered it and joined in. Thank you!

  13. I’m really looking forward to the mother daughter day. My mom and I have been coming for 3 years now and we absolutely love the time we have together shopping and pampering ourselves. We don’t get to see each other a lot so the time we do get to spend at the women’s show is amazing.

  14. Oh! We would love be be recipients for your ticket give-away for the Southern Women’s Show in Richmond.
